Students have been exploring the outdoor learning spaces in the Harvest of Dreams Garden, which is possible thanks to the generosity and talents of many people working together, including parents, community members, students and staff. There is so much for children to do now besides actual gardening, which has always been a favorite activity. For example, there is an area for our youngest learners that includes a train, chalkboard, and sandbox. Children can create, collaborate, become scientists or engineers in this space. There are decorated tree stumps where children can sit and ponder, or jump and balance. In another area, children can play a giant xylophone created by Wamogo students. There are also spaces where children can read a book, take pictures, conduct experiments, observe and explore nature, and (of course) garden!
I believe that Warren School students are extremely fortunate to be able to learn and explore in this inviting outdoor learning space. Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of this endeavor!
