About

Throughout my career, I have been interested in educating children in ways that engage and excite them, making them eager to learn. I was drawn to Region 6 because I saw possibilities for educators to think outside the box, to teach creatively, and to create learning environments and activities that are motivational and ignite students’ minds. Some of the many examples that I have seen include the educational use of the school gardens, MakerSpaces, Enrichment Clusters, and the strategic use of technology. Now that all Warren School students learn in multiage classrooms, I see additional opportunities to ignite learning in this student-centered environment.

I have been an educator for twenty-eight years, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Warren School as well as the Director of the Region 6 Talented and Gifted Program. Previously, I served as the Principal of Goshen Center School for three years. Prior to that, I worked in the Bristol Public Schools for twenty-four years. I taught regular education in grades 2 and 5, and gifted education in grades 3-8 before becoming an assistant principal, and then a principal. In addition to my administrative certification, I am certified to teach preschool through 8th grade. I hold a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, a master's degree in Elementary Education, and a bachelor’s degree is in Organizational Communication.

I have an open door policy, and encourage you to contact me at any time. I love talking about school, and ways to encourage all students to learn and thrive in a positive school environment.
