Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
Over the past couple of weeks, the Mrs. Twyeffort's fifth grade class has participated in the Connecticut Kid Governor project. We are pleased to announce that Abby Wayland-Smith has been selected to run in the statewide election for Connecticut's first Kid Governor! Next week, her campaign video will join those of six other student candidates at CT.KidGovernor.org. Fifth grade students across Connecticut will be able to cast their votes in early November. Abby's campaign speech is directly related to a class initiative to study Connecticut bats, as they have recently been placed on the Connecticut endangered species list. You can view Abby's video campaign by clicking on this link.
