Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
Did you see Monday's Republican American? There was an article about multiage classrooms in Litchfield County, and Warren School was included. As the article mentions, multiage instruction began in response to declining enrollment. Now that we've seen the benefits of multiage classrooms and the increase in student engagement, we can't wait until all of our classrooms are taught using the multiage philosophy. I will be happy to share and discuss the article with you on Friday, 10/23, at 12:30 PM during my next Principal Chat. Please come for coffee and a chat before early dismissal.
Next Friday, October 30th, Warren School will hold a Harvest Parade. You are invited to view the parade, which will begin at 2:50 PM in front of the school. All students are invited to bring costumes to change into right before the event. No masks or accessories are allowed.
The Friends of Warren School and the Warren Parks and Recreation Department will cohost a Harvest Dance from 6:00-8:00 PM on October 30th in the Warren School Gym. Please see the flyer below for more details. All families are asked to provide refreshments. Please sign up by clicking on this link.

CT Core Standards brochure:
This week during conferences, students in the Upper Blended class and grades 5 & 6 received a parent resource from the Connecticut State Department of Education. This brochure is to help you understand what your child is learning this year and includes helpful suggestions for supporting learning at home. This resource reflects the CSDE's efforts to communicate to families the recent shifts regarding the CT Core Standards and Smarter Balanced testing.
